Your Money is Safe.
Deposits in all federal credit unions are insured up to at least $250,000 per individual depositor by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The NCUA is a government agency that administers the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Like the FDIC's Deposit Insurance Fund, the NCUSIF is a federal insurance fund backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.
Deposits at all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions are covered by NCUSIF protection. Not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost by a member of a federally insured credit union.
